Marcus is the founder and CEO of the Abuja and London based company Pan Africa Solar Limited, focused on developing and investing in utility scale solar projects in Nigeria. Shareholders in Pan Africa Solar include a high profile local partner and a Canadian co-development partner JCM Capital, with the intention of developing 500MW’s of solar PV power plants by 2018. Pan Africa Solar is well known in Nigeria as the ‘front-runner’ solar developer.
Since 2011 Marcus’ focused on renewable energy, specifically Solar PV as a cost effective, reliable technology that will transform the lives of millions of Nigerians and beyond. Marcus’ London and Abuja based team have a long track record in the solar business. Prior to 2011 Marcus was the CEO of a Berlin based real estate investment business. Marcus has been a European real estate developer and investor having made investments in excess of $500mUSD in the UK, Germany and Poland. Marcus’ Dubai based family office has business interests ranging from oil and gas, logistics, infrastructure, agriculture, fertiliser and other commodities with a particular emphasis on Nigeria where the family has interests in ports, sugar mills/plantations, fertiliser processing plants and real estate.
Marcus has a BSc in Environmental Studies and Architecture from University College London. After University Marcus joined a special forces Territorial Army Regiment, The Honourable Artillery Company. He also spent six months travelling across Africa and 2 years living in Haiti.
