Hajiya Ladi Sule Katagum is the new Ag. Executive Secretary/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC). She took over from the former Executive Secretary/CEO, Mrs. Uju Aisha Hassan Baba who was relieved of her position by the President Muhammadu Buhari.
Hajiya Katagum took over the mantle of leadership as the most senior Director in the Commission; she had been a pioneer staff of the Organization since its inception in 1999. Until her assumption of Office, she was the Director of Overseas and Domestic Operations (DODO) where she formulated strategies to improve investments, organize and participate in investment forums, target high net worth investors, represents the Commission at the meetings of Investment Promotion Agencies of West African State (IPAWA), maintain and update database of investment opportunities and supervise of zonal offices.
Hajiya Ladi Katagum with her vast experience on investment related matters has also held the position of Director of Investor Relations in the Commission, where she related with both local and foreign investors on daily basis to help provide solutions to their problems through organizing and participating in investment forums, seminars, conferences and road shows to showcase the investment potentials and present Nigeria as the preferred investment destination in emerging markets.
 
As an expert on investments issues and who rose through the ranks, she has been ensuring harmonious business relations with strategic investment partners and other relevant Government Agencies and also developing and maintaining total quality management system throughout the Commission to ensure best possible products and services are provided to potential investment partners.
Before joining the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) in 1999, Hajiya Ladi a graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria had a brief stint at Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria as a Senior Manager attached to National Housing Fund Department. She was responsible for monitoring and supervising of the implementation of National Housing Fund mechanism by State and Local Zonal offices.
