Principal, Africa Power Systems Management
He is currently a Principal of Africa Power Systems Management Inc. (“APSM”), a company that provides bespoke management, operational and technical inputs to optimize the performance of African utility assets.  He is the immediate past Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority (“VRA”), Ghana’s state electricity generation utility from June 2009 to December 2013, where he oversaw unprecedented improvements in several areas, as well as numerous innovations.   Prior this, he has been Managing Director, Strategic Planning & New Business Development for Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited, (“Ashanti”); and Manager of Business Planning for the Primary Aluminum business unit of Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Company in Pleasanton, California. 
He has also been involved in a number of entrepreneurial ventures in energy and mining across Africa.  These include a gold exploration company currently listed in Hong Kong; an oil and gas exploration company; and, most notably, the 350 MW Cenpower Independent Power Project in Ghana, currently in construction, and due to come into service in 2018 1st Quarter. He started his professional career as an electrical engineer, designing integrated circuits for ITT and GE/RCA respectively, in the United States. He is the Chairman of Stanbic bank, (Ghana) Ltd; the Multimedia Group Limited (Ghana); and PlaySoccer (Ghana), a non-profit organization.  He is also involved in a number of civil society organizations, as well as several organizations promoting entrepreneurial opportunities for young people.
