Dozie is an attorney that currently works as an advisor to the Technical Services Department of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Nigeria and just recently served as the Special Assistant on Energy to the Nigeria’s former Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance.
Prior to that, he advised governments in Africa through the African Center for Economic Transformation, on policy and legal issues in the extractive resources sector. He spent time focusing on issues related to local content and value addition in the oil and gas sector, as well as capacity building initiatives for governments. Dozie has experience working with governments in Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Mozambique. He previously worked as an attorney at Vedder Price in Chicago, focused on Mergers and Acquisitions and corporate financial transactions. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young in Boston, with a focus on dispute resolution in the financial services sector.
He holds a Juris Doctor from the Northwestern University School of Law and a Masters in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University in Massachsetts. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business at Northwestern and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
