Brian Baltimore is Lead Transaction Advisor for the Power Africa Transactions and Reform Program in Nigeria based in Abuja. Power Africa is a $7 billion initiative launched by the administration of President Barack Obama to expand power availability and access in Africa. He leads a team of commercial, finance, legal, policy and technical experts who advise independent power producers as well as NBET, TCN, the Ministry of Power, Works & Housing and the Vice President’s Office Advisory Power Team. Prior to joining Power Africa, Brian worked with multiple global independent power producers including ACWA Power International and ContourGlobal developing and financing utility-scale thermal and renewable power projects in South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique and Rwanda. He holds a BA in Economics from Capital University, an MA in Economic Development from Ohio State University and a MA in International Finance from The Fletcher School, Tufts University. He has also taught graduate level courses in Project Finance, Corporate Finance and Economic Development.
