The
place to meet
The meeting place of the African
and international power sectors. AEF2006 also included
seminars on energy access and the changing face of Africa’s
gas sector.
Governments acknowledge the fundamental role of power
in development. It is at the annual Africa Energy Forum
that they meet to promote investment opportunities.

Driving
development
The power of utilities in fostering
a country’s
development places considerable influence and responsibility
on those that head them. They meet at the Africa Energy
Forum to engage the international community in a debate
on how best to deliver essential power services.

Opportunities
for investors
The lack of adequate power services
in Africa offers opportunities to international power
developers, contractors, equipment manufacturers and
advisers, many of whom sponsored AEF2006.

Promoting
business
More than 340
industry leaders met at the forum and made good use
of its networking facilities. The exhibition at Lille
was open for longer, and a French-style café operated
throughout. Coffee breaks and the AEF Reception were
also held in the exhibition.
