The 2004 Africa Energy Forum returned to Amsterdam, where it was launched in 1999.

 


The forum programme covered three sectors: power and gas, oil and LNG, and rural energy.

In addition to government, the finance sector and advisers, the forum attracts participants from across the energy sector.
In 2004, the largest number of delegates were power developers (13%), followed by oil companies and financial services, including banks (10% each), governments and official organizations, contractors and consultants (9% each), rural and renewable energy interests (7%), African power utilities and lawyers (6% each), distributive generation and development banks (5%), regulators (4%), development agencies and gas companies (2% each).
